Our Story
Founded by Rima El-Sayed, Sabr Studios is more than just an art studio; it is a creative sanctuary where art meets activism. Rooted in the principles of faith, resilience, and cultural identity, Sabr Studios was born from the desire to merge the healing power of art with the urgent need for social change.
Inspired by Rima’s deep connection to her Islamic heritage and her passion for using art as a therapeutic tool, Sabr Studios specialises in large-scale, meaningful works of art that explore the profound themes of Islam, social justice, and the experiences of marginalised communities. Through art, Rima gives voice to stories that often go unheard, focusing mainly on the youth of Lebanon and Palestine.
Our Mission
At Sabr Studios, we aim to empower and uplift communities affected by conflict, using art as a vehicle for emotional expression, healing, and advocacy. We believe that art can be transformative, not only for the artist but also for the world at large. Whether a painting or a product, each piece carries a story of hope, resilience, and a commitment to a brighter future.
How We Give Back
Sabr Studios is committed to giving back as a studio with a purpose. Thirty per cent of the profits from our specially designed products, such as our signature totes, go directly towards humanitarian aid for Lebanon and Palestine. These funds support essential services, including education and emergency relief, helping those impacted by conflict and displacement.
Art Therapy & Community
In addition to our original artwork, Sabr Studios is a leader in providing art therapy workshops to youth and communities dealing with the trauma of war and displacement. From our project "Colours of Hope: Opening the Keys and Emotions of Palestine" to our fundraising events with the Lebanese Muslim Association, we create safe spaces for participants to express their feelings through creative activities, fostering a sense of belonging and emotional release.
